Ok, I'm mind fawked. usually the only new cars that keep up with my Z are modified 5.0s and boosted Cars.

Never has a Chrysler actually been able to somewhat keep up with me.
I know in my 3.4 setup GTP i whoop em.

But last night was different, There was 3 chryslers on i-75 last, a challenger, A newer charger and an older charger.

we all went at it, the newer charger and the challenger got left, But this one charger with dark ass tint, nice 20" wheels and a Sweet sounding dual exhaust almost stayed with me.

The first race i wanted to see what he had, yes im ashamed, I sand bagged.... I was actually not even trying to race i was messing with my new Gtech scanner toy.

Well the second race i let him take off first, And i passed him pretty decently from a 75+ roll, And he was still near me somewhat.
after this he said F it cause the first race he thought he killed a slow ass LT1, then he wouldnt run me anymore.. lame..... then all 3 turned onto Chrysler dr where the big ass Chrysler building is off of i-75 Of course... lol



Now I'm wondering what he had, I tried following him to talk to the guy, but he wouldnt give me the time of day everytime i tried he went faster and faster. :( so i said screw it i had 72 miles to drive and didnt want to chew up anymore gas.

but it was fun :th_winking:
 


Hmmmm... did it make any whining noises at all? If it was getting off at Chrysler drive it could have been a prototype disguised as an older car

Considering the new Charger has already been out for nearly a year now...and the new SRT8's are supposed to be running solid mid 12's.

Supposedly.
 
Ive heard rumors.... in the MY 2014... big upgrades... just saying ive heard rumors (I work for an automotive supplier)
 


i didnt hear a whining noise, but it did sound healthy, It ran decent but i pulled pretty good on him, I doubt it was a proto being it was that old of a body style.

I know what you were meaning by the old body style. But since the release of these is about 2 years out I assume they would be testing soon to see if its even doable... The rumors ive heard make my mouth water thats for sure. However, it could have been a 6.1 SRT8 as said. Those had a nice topend in them
 
I saw about three or four chargers like that (one of them a station wagon) running low to mid 13's in the south texas heat a couple of weeks ago. My T'Bird, which ran a best of 14.7@96 in the winter, was running 15.2@95 that night so I was somewhat impressed...relative to the T'Bird and GXP that is.
