do i need to get injectors?

im gonna be running meth, with the setup below besides the 3.0 inch pulley. im either gonna run a 3.25 or a 3.4 with a good tune, do i need to get bigger injectors?
 


i dont know, do you? are your IPW's static? we cant tell you if you need them unless you scan your car. if youre not knocking, even if your IPWs are static, then who cares, right?

right now im not knocking on a good tune, and im not sure if the pulse widths are static, im just trying to get everything in order for the build on the 17th. Im just not sure what to do because im gonna either run the 3.4 on there with the meth setup, or a 3.25... and i dont know if that calls for bigger injectors
 
usually when the injector pulse widths hit about 21.xx or higher when WOT then they are static, which means you need to look into an upgrade. on my 3.4 setup in the dead of winter i was seeing 22.xx and 23.xx IPWs and about 15 pounds of boost. in the summer i was only hitting 18.xx and 11 pounds of boost. this goes to show you that weather has a lot to do with how your car runs.

either way, knock is what youre looking for specifically. dont take the IPWs as the bible. also, if your IPWs arent static up top and youre still knocking and dont know why check your fuel pressure. if it drops off up top then you need to look into a higher flow rate fuel pump.

thanks, yea that does help only thing is i dont know exactly what the pulse widths are since im having it tuned at a shop. i already have a racetronix fuel pump and harness waiting to go on the car for th emeth build. should i just go with 42# injectors to be safe?
 
If they are tuning it, I would definitely get the injectors and let them scale them in to the tune. Better off not under-fueling your car.
 


you should have some form of a scan gauge regardless of how modded you are. screw meth or injectors, that is your next purchase.
