Do i need a new tranny or converter?

I just had my 97 gtp scanned and three codes showed up. one was P0742A torque converter clutch curcuit stuck on and the second one read P07421B converter clutch performance stuck on and the third read P0742A torque converter clutch circuit. Do I need a new tranny or converter I dont know anything about transmissions and any help on what these mean would be greatly appreciated.
 


Sounds like you need to replace the torque converter clutch solenoid. Unfortunately if memory serves me correctly you have to remove the side cover of the trans to get to it. Search for torque converter clutch solenoid and see what comes up.
