Do I have Engine knock?

So I have posted in here b4 about how my car will "knock" or rumble at random interverals (about once every 3 seconds) in park or neutral (not drive) which vary in strength.

Now today b4 work I let the car warm up a minute while I had a smoke. I popped the hood just to take a look and I began seeing the engine actually shake (doesnt look to be to normal). I felt the dog bones and I could feel the exact rumble.

What does this sound like?

Knock can be heard, but usually isn't. And you're definitely not knocking at idle. I have yet to hear my knock. Classically, knock is known as "ping" as it sounds more like a ping noise.

The only way to see if you have knock is with a scanner. What you're noticing (a "bumpy" idle) is common to all 3800s.

Cool, there are definettly no "ping" noises.

So no engine mounts are dog bones need to be replaced?

random miss fire. my car also runs ruffer with lower quality gas. good gas and my car does not do it near as bad as it used to

To answer you question, "do I have engine knock?" Probably, but that's not uncommon on a completely stock GTP either.

Anyway Sabrewings is right a small slightly detectable stumble is normal, but you shouldn't see much movement on your tach on your tach, if any at all.
