Am I correct thinking I can use L76 springs with my ER rockers? im on stock springs and found out my car shifts at 6200 rpms, so stock springs are a no go lol, might explain why im misfiring at 6000+rpms.
I know my car doesn't make power at that rpm blah blah, but it puts me in the powerband for 2nd and 3rd gear specially with my 3.69 gears.

Re: l76 springs for er rockers

You should drop your shift down to 6250 and swap those springs in, if I'm correct in assuming they are actually a 90lb valve spring, you should be good to go

get some springs on there. that sounds supper bad, valve float dont really sound like thats as far as i know. not sure its something you can really hear that loud.

my shifts are set to 6000 it ends up shifting at 6300, i got rockers and ls springs and it dont make that sound.

I just hate to fork the money over and it not fix the issue, I'm wondering about replacing the coil packs but I ant return them if it's not the issue.
I hate wasting money lol.

No, I only have torque pro idk if it can scan, but I have had misfire codes, once in cylinder 2 and the other time cylinder 4, but it won't throw a code Everytime, sometimes it's alot worse than that video, misfires so bad it won't shift just sits there misfiring tell I let off the throttle

there is no way to tell if it is valve float unless you have a scanner, and even then it's a bit tricky. I don't remember how to see if there is valve float. it might be something like having more airflow, but less boost when the rpm's haven't changed.

the t app will show kr, and misfires, you can data log with it. scan timing advance long term fuel trim, kr, and load every cylinder under misfires, take a scan. load it to your pc and open it in excell to see whats going on.

i can only guess it stops making power when you hear/feel that sound. if its kr its pulling a crap load of timing out, if its misfires its like all 6 of em lol

So reset my misfire history and floored it, I got 53misfires cylinder 2 and 22 misfires cylinder 4 and a multiple misfire code.
And I was watching during normal driving and was getting random misfires during normal driving threw the city, just 1 misfire then it would go away, pretty much on all cylinders was random....guess I'll orders coils zzp has OEM ones for $22 each

AC delco stock plugs and wires, stock gap,a month old, old plugs and wires had the same issue that's why I replaced them hoping it would fix the issue.
ICM will be next on my list if coils don't fix it

Yes on iridium's, pretty sure on gap my cousin installed them (10x quicker than me)and I watched him gap them. He's licensed mechanic and wouldnt gap then to anything but stock unless I said otherwise.

Old plugs and new plugs both misfired at high rpms.
Zzp's site seems to be down... figures lol

I don't see why, old plugs were fine last year, then the car sat all winter and this issue began this spring when the car came back on the road, new plugs made absolutely 0 difference so I'm not gonna swap them again.
