Disconnect FM antenna to make mp3 player work better?

Hello,
I've got an iPhone and one of those FM transmitter doodads (I think it's an iTrip.)

The thing sounds like total ass. I've been through every station on the dial, moved the phone all around the car, and I can't find a single station that doesn't turn into fuzzy static garbage.

I'd like to try disconnecting the car's FM antenna to try and reduce the external signal being fed into the radio. Which wire do I need to cut?
 


try putting the phone in airplane mode.

also thoes FM transmitters are garbage to begin with, just get a deck with ipod or aux connector.
 
Yeah, I tried a few FM transmitters.. I could never find one that sound "decent" even.. Now I have an alpine headunit with ipod connector, and I'm very happy ;)
