Disabling light flash on lock/unlock

Alright i'm sure this is probably posted somewhere else already but I cant seem to find a tutorial on how to make this stop. It killed my hid ballasts in 2 days and i need to find out how to disable this feature before reinstalling. Help is appreciated. thanks
 


Check your manual. Also you can flip on your high beams before you exit the car that way turning off the ballast.
 
Just found this the other day. Take out your mall PCM fuse located in the passenger side fuse box. Pull it out turn it back to the accessory position just the radio, and push the lock button. Depending on the year it might be different for you. The chime will go off a number of times, each times is a different mode. Only one chime is no flash no lights. Thanks are welcome

Did this today, worked, but just curious, am I supposed to lose the hornk honk too?
