Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

when i installed my new tb today i took my old one off and i was disgusted with what i saw... the inside of the s/c inlet and back end of the old throttle body was all black with this stuff caked on it (carbon buildup?) tried getting off as much as i could, but didnt fare off too well... is this normal? and how the hell can i get rid of it???:th_scratchhead:

yea, ive been wanting to do seafoam... what is he best place to put it in through on a gtp? booster line?

I go thru the brake booster line, Im not sure if the stuff with eat your S/C seals or not.

But to clean the inside you can put seafoam in a spray bottle and spray it into the TB and use a hard toothbrush to help the seafoam penetrate the carbon.

I have poured it straight down the throttle body before on a tbi 4.3, didnt do any harm at all, just gained 10mpg and was able to RPM over 2700 and drive over 35mph. (Previous owner was a imigrant who never owned a car before,.

ok, ill look into it... i definitely dont want to ruin my seals though, but i definitely want to clean stuff out

Wait till the huffed guys chime in, ive never worked with a roots style blower before, im unsure of their senstivity.

I have ALWAYS used seafoam threw a vacum line. I used it even on my 05 with the whipple and never had a problem with any seals.

its called an EGR homie. it makes everything in the intake nasty. i took mine off and threw it in the garbage and never looked back. emissions are for wusses.

so long as you have an EGR no matter how much you clean it it will always get nasty style dirty again.

oh yeah that makes sense... after all it does put exhaust gas through the intake... no wonder
