Digital DIC NEED HELP ASAP

Hi im not new to this forum just forgot my log in but any who. I have a 2000 Grand Prix Gt Im currently trying to swap the old analog dic out with a digital one. All my wires match up except for. I have the green for the vss which I know where it goes. But out of my factory harness I have two grays and a gray with a black tracer. The connector for the digital dic has a brownish gray and 2 brownish grey with black tracer. the screen wont come on along with the lights when I turn on the lamps. the trac button works and the trac off and low trac light work. Anyone else run into this problem I could really use the help.
 


The DIC went out on my 97 a few years back and I recently got around to pulling it apart, checking connections and replacing bulbs etc. Nothing worked. So I wound up buying a used DIC from a member on here and voila! it lit up right away and has worked ever since. I guess the board burned out over time. Not sure if that is what's happening in your case but it's something to think about.
