Dieseling / Engine Run-On

I've got a 2008 Grand Prix and I think i'm experiencing engine run-on.

I'm assuming this isn't a common issue to Grand Prix's? I've been googling but haven't gotten far.

What solutions do I have to resolve the issue. (When I turn off the car - the engine will run for a second or two and then shut off - feels like it's burning extra gas that was injected).
