Did my Power steering just went out?

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base.

Today my car was stuck on an unplowed snowed in road. I had trouble getting the car out, I kept turning the wheel to get out and finally i got out of the mess. I realized as I was driving how hard it was to turn the wheel. I thought it was the snow jammed into the wheel but once I got on the highway, I still had a hard time steering. I am starting to believe my power steering went out. Any thoughts??

You may have air in the lines. add some ps fluid and turn the wheel back and forth tell it softens. Also there may be a hole in the line. Did it mark its territory with a puddle?
 
I am going to check right now. So far no puddle on the ground. No steering noices at all. It is very hard to turn the wheel.
 


It's on the back passangere side of the motor underneath the heater core hoses. Bring a flash light to check the level. It's dark back there
 
On the 97-03 its on the passager side under the alt but on an 06 im not sure. To check if its leaking make sure its filled up then run it and look under it to see if its leaking
