I wanted to buy a L26 UIM from user 007 on here and it has been around two weeks since I sent the payment and 007 has yet to respond to me. Has anyone had good experiences with this person?

**EDIT** As of 11/19 I have received my UIM in good condition

Yeah it was paypal. He (I'm assuming it's a he) told me to send the money as a gift though. I had never used paypal for purchases before so I did it, and later found out I couldn't file a dispute through paypal because it isn't a purchase. I don't know what to do. It's only $35, but that's 35 more that I could have for my UIM. I really wanted to find an L26 UIM because my L36 one is shot and it's virtually impossible to find them for cheap and I don't have much money. Plus the L26 one looks much better painted and I can even get it anodized.

Can't help with the getting screwed part, but check out rockauto for a new uim. Iirc, they sell the Dorman one with all the gaskets for about $80 shipped.

Guess I'm just to trusting.... almost everything I've bought was with paypal gifting.
But I usually do a little research before hand.
How long they have been a member has alot to do with it, along with if they have bought/sold items before. Also will try to find out if there are members on other GP sites.
Thankfully I've never gotten screwed and I've bought alot. Hopefully it wasn't to much, but as the saying goes "You live and You learn"

Did you pay via CC through your paypal or what?

that is THE only way to pay really because you can file a claim and get your money back that way.

Sorry Chris, and to everyone else -HE DID NOT GET SCREWED!

I'm an honest seller and running 2 businesses as well as being in charge of marketing for a two others it's tough keeping up on everything.
I had given the package with the UIM and bolts to my brother to ship via SpeeDee, like I do for almost every package that can be shipped through them as they are cheaper but only cover the Upper Midwestern states. Well, long story short, I've been on here only a couple times and don't have pm notices being sent to me. I didn't notice his 2 pm's until I got the first email directly from him last evening.
I called my brother and he admitted to having not shipping that package -I don't understand why b/c he's shipped for me hundreds of time and has shipped many since then.
I have picked the package up from him and will be shipping it personally tomorrow.
I would also have responded here sooner, but hadn't seen this until Koniig clued me into this thread.

Again, sorry for the delay Chris -If any one wants to check my status on the Bonneville and Grand Prix sites I'm a member on you'll find I've NEVER shorted anyone purposely and the very few issues that have come up have been taken care of as quickly and satisfactorily as possible.

Also, if anyone want's to pay through paypal and doesn't want to use the 'gift' option feel free to pay the fee's so the seller get's the full amount being asked.
 
Sounds reasonable to me man. Just get it to him and there is no issue. We don't wanna have to pull a s197.com on your ass. :th_biggrin2:
