Ive searched and really haven't found an answer. Will the 5 button DIC just plug into the 3 button harness? I'm not really worried about the miles issue. If it does, instead of cutting the holes for it can u just get the dash piece for it. If it will fit on an 04 GT. Thanks for your help in advance.
 


Yep. Just plugs right in. Good luck finding a 5 button trim panel though, unless you buy the full kit from Morad's, they don't come easily by themselves. I went ahead and took a 3/4 hole saw and dremel to mine and I must say I'm pleased with the outcome. Unless you get up close and personal with it, you couldn't tell. If you do find a trim piece though, make sure it's from an 04 or an 05. I've been told that 06-08 the trim has a different curve to it.

Thanks for the info. I suppose I will still have to run the stuff for the trans temp gauge, volt gauge, outside temperature gauge, compass, timer, oil % remaining, trip computers, avg speed, avg fuel economy, instant fuel economy, range, etc...all the extra stuff that the 3 button doesn't have
 
The only thing extra you will have to do is buy an:

Ambient Air Temp Sensor ($6 from a dealer) P/N - 25775833
Compass Module ($70-$80 used, $150+ new) P/N - 15236913

All that extra stuff you mentioned is already wired up and ready to go, the 3 button just doesn't display it. When you plug in the 5 button everything will show up as it should.
 
NP. Just did this myself 3 weeks ago. Couldn't be happier with it. Only thing I haven't done, because I haven't shelled out the cash, is the compass module.
 


I here ya. Moradparts sells the entire kit for 200. Might jump on it soon as i cna get the extra cash, or the wife lets me...lol
