dic swap question

i just did a dic swap on my 97 gp se i got the new unit from a 97 gtp i had no harness and had to splice all the wires every thing works proper but my fuel range reads zero did i miss something? or do i have to fill the tank or mabey run it almost dry before it will register? i looked around and havent been able to find any info on this any help would be awsome thanks!
 


i think i might have it there is one wire that wasnt listed on the pinout chart i was using its a 97 only thing i guess need to run it to the fuel gauge
