DIC Does Not Hold Date Any Longer

I have a 2004 GT1 without the Monsoon system. I put in an aftermarket JVC head and now my DIC doesn't hold the date when I set it for more than a second. Is there a way to fix this?

Sorry if this is a total noob question. I'm looking around the forum but it's going horribly with the computer I'm stuck with right now. It's an old mac. :(
