DIC/date

I just put my touch screen in my 04 GTP and it has the date screwed up. When i try to set it again it won't display the date, but it WILL keep the date in memory. I kinda depend on that so could someone please help.

the data bus interfaces for some reason will not retain the date function...i'm having the same problem in my 07...i've heard that is something that cannot be fixed after you change your HU

From what I've heard you cannot keep the date function after putting in an aftermarket radio. Doesn't your phone tell you the date?

Aye, mine does the same thing. Get one of those tiny sticky calendars.

phone yes....but i need it at eye level lol. its just the principal of not having it there.

Thats because your stock HU feeds the DIC with that info through a data cable. The only way to have the date is to put the stock HU back in when you sell it.
