what would cause a 97 gp gt to bog out around 40 mph
Im thinking cat she said it also smokes a little

Im thinking about picking the car up she wants 900 and that comes with a tow form sac to my house wich would cost 160

I have a 98 trans in my garage id just have to rebuild it or install and flush it cause it was running when i swapped it for my tep trans

yea ill probably make it run good detail it and post it on craigs for 2500 or so i dunno yet depends what it costs to fix the issues

the exhaust tips are twisted...
maybe somebody tried to replace something in the exhaust and dicked it up? have you seen the car?
 
it'd need new tails else you'd NEVER get what you're looking for it.

Obvious things count to people when buying.

My bet is the cat i see alot of gps with jacked tips
theres a couple dents in it but over all i think with a little tlc and couple hundred in parts she will be a good little runner
ill list it for 3000 and let someone pay me 2200 ish
 
tails arent an issue ill probably get some cheapy ebay ones
clean up and straighten the tips
clean up the dents detail it throw a univ cat on it and a tune up clean the engine bay and a coat of wax

I mean if all goes to plan
 


it would be a nice weekend project. i say go for it if you're really interested in flipping cars. seems like a good place to start, with a car you know pretty well.

and i just read your sig, i'm impressed at the numbers your making. how much do you think you have in that setup?

a lot.... he's stripped the block down and had a machine shop have its way with it so new everything.
 
engine ill say alittle over 3k tep trans 1500+ exaust 400 with pems when they get here
and bought the car for 2k
and all the other bsaround 8k total

And yea i can work on anything its just these cars are simple to work on
im also triing to find cars people like i think a 2dr gp will appeal to more then a few people

yea i have a lot of wrench time in on it and a few thousand miles on it and all still purring... still need a3.0 pulley,dp, meth and a big brake set up
i make things go fast worry about braking later
 
12 inchers with stock calipers with good pads should be more than enough braking power.

Get C5's for brake feel, F body's for cheapness.

i wouldnt even have bought the pems b ut my front mani has a 3 inch crak in it
 
its cast i splash through puddles lol when i pulled it during my build i welded 3 cracks but after i ported them i noticed a nice crack going down the midlle
 
wow... i bet it's all worth it when it puts you back in the seat though lol.

and my noobness is showing: not familiar with the term "pems". ported exhaust manifolds?
