DEX III or DEX VI?

my trans has 199k on it, will the synthetic VI mess it up by cleaning it out or should i go with DEXIII for cheaper fluid. i can get DEX III for 19.99 a gallon
 


have no idea, i bought this car a couple months ago, just now getting around to doing a pan drop with new gasket and filter.

i will not be flushing it.
