Me:

Lifelong mechanic now doing other things for a living.

My GP:

Naturally aspirated, 2007, red. Modifications so far are royal purple oil & filter, double prong spark plugs, and (just last night) cold air intake.

Goal for this vehicle:

1 hp to 10 lbs naturally aspirated and maintain stock look as viewed from the outside, hence the delusional. Only 7 lbs to go.

1lb...7lbs? Que?

Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome.

The car currently dyno's @ between 200 and 215 hp depending on the air temperature (measured in December 2009 and again in early march, both times with the hood open and with a 6" Spectre cone directly on the throttle body for consistency). It weighs 3597 lbs unloaded. 3597/200= 17.985 (or 1 hp to every 17.985 lbs) 3597/215= 16.73 (or 1 hp to every 16.73 lbs)

So I only have to lose 7 more pounds per hp to meet the 1:10 ratio. It was meant as a joke since at current power I would have to take off a minimum of 1,585 lbs of material to meet my goal. (nerd icon not found)
