• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1996 Pontiac Grand Prix

So, I've been doing some serious thinking of selling my '92 to get the '96. It's pretty much everything I want and it's the only other car I'd sell my car for. I love my GP, without a doubt. She's my first car, but the '96 is just too gorgeous to pass up. I've managed to talk the guy down to $1400, but I'm sure I can talk him down another couple hundred. I'm going out to look at the car on Saturday before I even think of putting my car up for sale.

Anyone have any inputs and opinions? They'd be appreciated.

At $1400 or even $1200...try and do both.

That's what your heart is really saying (who's got a link to that Titanic Celine song?)

Is mileage less?
Is condition better?
Is the engine bigger?

If you answered no to 2 or 3 of those, stick with yours.

Mileage is at 147000, mine is 175000. Exterior condition is in much better shape than mine from the pictures, as does the interior. I won't know for sure until I go look at it. As far as the engine goes, I won't know until I see it.

So, all in all, I guess it comes down to just going to see it. I'll take some more pictures, than compare. I've been looking for a black '96 since I bought my '92.

Looks like I'll never know.

I was gonna head out there tomorrow, right after I got out of the hospital, right? Cash in hand. I was talking to the guy about directions tonight, he said he'll be expecting me tomorrow.

An hour later, oh he texts me, "I just sold it. Sorry."

Douche. Bag.

Gonna go look at the black '92 3.4L today, along with an '84 F150. Even possibly an '01 Ranger.

I'm honestly not even sure if I wanna sell my '92 anymore. It's a hard decision.

Well...

The GP is on its last few days of being around. I bought a '97 Ford Ranger instead. I tried to pursue other 92-96 Grand Prix, but none of them worked out. I bought the Ghetto Blasta for $500. Fixed her up, now she deserves someone else to enjoy her.

Got a few people coming out this weekend to look at her.

I will miss her.
