• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

*death* seems to be the only answer

The biggest issue I see right now is that there is no such thing as a moderate anymore. No one works together across party lines anymore. If something is a good idea, it's a good idea regardless of which party it comes from. We're at a point where good ideas get voted down by one party simply because it came from the other party, and bad ideas are fostered by a party because the idea came from within their own party...that's crap. In the end, they're all supposed to be working towards the same goal. Yeah - they sill have different ideas on how to get there, but there is always middle ground. We need to see a re-birth of the moderate, and the moderates need to be allowed to have their say. Common sense, people.

The other thing that needs to happen is that congress needs to be held to the same standards as the people the represent. It kills me that congress sees fit to exempt themselves from the laws they pass. Obamacare is an example of this. They felt it was in the best interest of the American people, but choose to include exemptions from the measure for members of congress. So - it's good for the American people, just not the American people the wrote the law and voted that it was best for the American people. That's absolute crap. If you are writing/passing a law, you should be bound by that law you are foisting on your constituents. No exceptions.

I don't understand how congress feels they are furthering the American dream by limiting freedoms of it's people. Whether you are pro-Obamacare or anti-Obamacare, you have to admit that it's pretty jacked up that you no longer have the freedom to choose whether or not you have health insurance. You should be able to choose what you do with your life. Same for employers. Employers should not be told how they are to run their business. If they choose not to offer health care to their employees, so what? They are only hurting themselves in the long run, because they will have a hard time attracting top talent to their company if another company in a similar business down the street is offering it. The more the government regulates things, the more restricted the market becomes, and we end up turning everything into a cookie cutter version of what the government thinks is right rather than what the entrepreneur wants to create. Innovation is now a bad word because it runs contrary to what the government thinks is the right way to do things. Give me a break!

Re: Suicide seems to be the only answer

Don't let the sideshow keep your attention of the realness of corporate takeover. Seriously you want to fix america take a long hard look at the endless loopholes that kill middle-class america and keep us sidelined by fighting amongst ourselves. Most people can't even explain accurately and truthfully how obamacare is bad or how were truly in a dictatorship. Suicide is in the best interest of people who spill one sided stories to the public in my opinion
If you don't know the answers to those questions you are not paying attention.

Loopy you are right. If there's a good idea up for vote people in office will vote against it unless they can get their bad idea attached and passed at the same time. .
