Yeah, I've been hearing about this. The last time I flew, do you know how long the TSA looked at my regular driver's license? 2 seconds...this is nothing but a money grab.

This is right up there with other useful laws like the Safe Act. You really think this would slow down a terrorists, give me a break.

And leave it to New York to be ass backwards and not the first to jump on this for some reason.

I agree it would be nice to have a passport and I probably should get one.

But this still doesn't discount the fact that the TSA is absolutely 100% useless. Between my experience of the look at the ID for 2 seconds and the countless reports of how TSA failed to stop 95% of the threats getting through. The law is just as useless as the TSA. ID and passports can be forged and they wouldn't know what they were looking at, unless they were going to actually start scanning/swiping the IDs to verify identity.
 
I could do a lengthy tin foil hat response here, that although Bill makes fun of me for, he secretly agrees with me, but I just don't have the energy to do it these days.
