i have an 05 GTP and i want to install a flip out DVD head unit

the problem i might run into is the flip out screen might hit and block the main dash vent located right above the radio hole.

has any1 switched around the whole dash? mounted the HVAC controls on top the cubby hole in the center and the radio on the bottom???

i thought this arrangement might make wiring easier and would look better.
 


You'd probably have to make extenstions for the wires, and in reality, thats a long way down to be looking while you're driving.

Is there any reason that you wouldn't go with a double din?
 
i already have a flip out that was supposed to go into my park avenue. the wiring doesnt scare me i was just wondering if the HVAC can b relocated without a HUGE headache.

plus its mostly for the parking lot gatherings i plug my USB in and only hit the skip button while im driving.
