Dash lights not working!!!

I have a 1998 Grand Prix. Last night i noticed the speedo, tach and so on lights were not working. I went to the store to get new fuses but the guy said it might not be a fuse. He told me to ask around on the forum becuase he had the same car and the same problems. I did change out the cluster fuse from the glove box but it didnt work. Also the climate control lights insted of dimming, just shut off.

***I already checked the dimmer under the light controls***

Any help???:th_scratchhead:

So did you actually check your fuses or just listen to the guy at the parts store and let it slide? If fuses are good, then I would suspect either a headlight switch or ignition switch.

Have you checked all exterior lights, like brake lights, turn signals, head lights, reverse lights and so on. On my 07 I had a reverse light go out and the shifter light and door lights stopped working. Might not be your problem but it won't hurt to check.

I checked the fuses. As a stated, i changed a few of them out. if it was the ignition switch from what a heard is that my taillights would not work. I dont know about the headlight switch though

Im having this same problem, did you ever find a solution? My dash lights/heater lights and all work during the day, but at night they do not.

Thanks

I didn't even mean to fix it how I did, I litterally wiggled and kept turning my headlights on and off and they randomly started working
