Cylinder head problems

No.

that was series I.

03 grand prix is series II.

Only series II+ parts will work on your engine.

Why do you need a new head?

Losing coolant? If so, have you checked the UIM for failure near the EGR stove pipe and the LIM gaskets?

What's up guy's? ?i was wondering about that also. What's the difference between series ll. / lll ???cause i got an 04gt n/a. And cracked mine

Is that all? ? So if i got the cam package that comes with everything but the heads that i could just have them rebuilt with the right values.? ?? I'dl like to know before buying the cam package.

I'm not sure what your plans for the car are, but most people never even touch the heads. They'll just add the cam and go.

I don't see many people even change the valves, some do get new stock replacement valves if they fully rebuild the head.

I think the difference is that the new series 3 heads on either the L26 or L32 have slightly bigger valves than that of the L67/L36, buts its not a noticeable difference.

series 1 uses 11/32 valve stem
series 2 and 3 use 8mm stems,

series 2 intake is 1.8
series 3 intake is 1.83

also you could get manley to take some ls1 valves

ex ask for .200 shorter OAL, tip to groove/head diameter are good
in ask for .150 shoter OAL, tip to groove is good, head diameter make as you want (not sure how big you can get away with untill you hit the cylinder bore/piston, so going bigger then 1.9 ......... cant help ya till i have to tear mine apart)

making these changes will let you use the rest of your stock valvetrain

manley charges our shop only a few bucks more for custom work( 3-4$ a valve)
