Cv axle replacement

Mirraco

One BadAzz GT Dawgg
Easiest way to replace cc axle? My driver side has a boot that's torn so I'm going to relace whole thing. I have the outer tie rod off the inner tie rod. What's easiest way to do it? Remove caliper, Hub then get new one in?

is the inner tie rod a lot to replace? Since I already have the outer off of it if it's easy enough I'll do that aswell.

do I have to compress a quick struts spring to fit it on the car? It seemed like where it bolts in is about a inch higher than the one that was on the car.

Remove the axle nut, remove the ball joint nut, pop the ball joint out, push the axle through the hub while lifting the whole knuckle to the side, pop axle out of transmission and thats pretty much it. You might have to remove the sway bar link to allow the control arm to push down enough.

K that shouldn't be too hard. When I was trying to get part of it going I couldn't get the sway bar links to loosed. I had a socket on top and bottom

Ok I'll check it out getting a cv axle from Napa lifetime warranty sounds pretty good to me since I hear some people have to replace them often.

Just did mine, fairly easy. I ended up going back to autozone to rent a slide hammer because I couldn't pull the axle out by hand.

I did the same thing wasted 3 hours trying to get it out. Took two minutes with slide hammer
