CV Axle Leaking trans fluid?

I recently replaced my passenger side CV axle, but when I had pulled the axle out a good amount of trans fluid came out of the opening for the CV axle, I have never had this happen before, is there something wrong or did I just just lucky the other times? any advice would be great, thanks.
 


If the fluid was above the level at which the axle is at, trans fluid will come out.

If trans fluid continues to come out after you have replaced it, the seal is prolly ripped and needs replacing.
 
I typically jack up the passenger side when doing that axle and typically it won't leak out. If I jack the front of the car, I'll see some fluid. Follow what FFDP said and you can't go wrong.
