Creaky noises...

Ok so I'm hearing creaky noises from under the hood when I turn the steering wheel. I'm thinking CV joints but im not 100% sure. Nothing vibrates or shakes when im driving so I assume one or both cv joints bad. The creaky noise it all I get

Sounds like it could be your strut mounts. Mine do that from time to time.

Strut mounts creak when u turn the wheel? Well I suppose, the car is ageing.

Throw a jack under it and get both front tires off the ground. Fire it up and then turn the wheel lock to lock and see if you hear the squeak. Might also help if someone does it for you while you have yourself down under the car to try and pinpoint the sound.

although it might not do it if theres no weight on it. ball joints?

This is true, but then you have at least narrowed it down some. Right now it could be the rack, a ball joint (or 2), strut mount, etc...

Im gonna try some wd40 on the ball joints and see if that helps.

I was thinking the intermediate steering shaft is a possibility.
