Creaking steering issue

Anyone else had their rack and pinion mounting bolts come loose? I am suspecting that issue becauuse mine clunks after a new iss install. It will clunk on smooth ground with no potholes and even without turning the wheel. Thanks guys.
 


It's possible. Climb under it and check it out. Get the front end in the air and turn it lock to lock to isolate the noise. Could be a strut mount, ball joint, tie-rod end, control arm bushings. Just give everything in the front end a good look.
 
Thx for the reply. I found another thread on here with a tsb that stated that the holes in the bushings for the rack and pinion where made too large for the bolt diameter and they were working on a fix. They also said that re torquing the bolts would quite the clunk but that it would return. I re torqued the bolts and it's quiet for now.
