creaking in steering wheel when turning left

for a couple weeks now i have been experiencing a creaking noise in the steering wheel but only while i am turning left. i have topped up the power steering fluid and that did not solve the problem. it seems to be worse at lower speeds but i can hear it while driving fast also. it doesn't need to be turned very much either just a slight bit to the left and that does it. i can feel it in the steering wheel when it does it but the noise is the major problem that's bugging me. If anyone has any idea what is wrong i would greatly appreciate it. I just recently had the Iss replaced and it still continues to make the noise, it got better after changing it but still there, the gm mechanic told me he had no idea what it was, and that i should just leave it, they tightened the steering rack and he said everything looks fine but i really wanna know what's doing it

is it from the front of the car or its the actual steering wheel? because i had to tighten my steering rack when my car creaked when i turned but the noise was coming from the front of the car

it's a creaking noise, and it sounds like its coming from the front end, but i can feel and hear it in the steering wheel as well

i took it to my mechanic and he can't quite figure out exactly what it is but he says its coming from the steering column and possibly the u joint or steering shaft, do these need to be replaced or can i have them greased up and see if that works?

I have had a creaking noise issue also, I recall while searching, the ISS can be greased in a certain spot under the dash and the noise goes away. I guess it's common a s GM updated the shaft but still comes back. Worth some research

I went and got tow Iss changed and its still doing it, Im beginning to believe it could be the struts or something cause they are starting to rust a bit and it sorta sounds like what would be a strut but i don't know

and i could also hear it from the outside of the car when the mechanic drove it, and it sounds like the noise is focused around the front left
