ok so ive been battling with this since I have got the car in may.. its a 99 grand prix gt with many new parts...

-new parts (both sides for all that apply)
sway bar and links
control arm ball joint
cv axle
inner outter tie rod
rack and pinion
wheel bearings
struts front and back
tires w/ balance
allignment

still clunks... sounds like somethings gunna fall off

its also shakes horribly on the highway like a tires gunna drop.. checked all.. tight

really love my grand prix I have so much into it along with rocker restore... so I don't want to see her go...

please help with any suggestions?

Could be control arm bushings. When you did the struts, did you replace the mounts as well?

The shake could be a bad tire, like a belt shifted or the tires cupping. Does the steering wheel shake left and right or does the car just vibrate?

Where is the clunk coming from? Front, back? Check the rear lateral arms and swaybar?

yup all is good in back. just replaced bad tire and rim with new ones. control arm was a complete from moog. and struts where Monroe complete assembly no jerking in steering wheel just a vibrate almost slapping feeling... pretty mechanically incline and cant describe the noise its very often and costin me a ton :/

Guessin ur sayin to just ignore it lol
But no. I basically give up on it more focused on the high speed vibrate pretty sure all my motor mounts are done for either that or a rotor and tire somewhere

The vibration check to make sure your tires arnt bulging or deformed, iv had belts shift in mine cause bad vibration. Basically just take the tire off roll it down the drive and look for wobble. Would also double check all suspension conponent bolts are tight on the things you replaced

any way to test my trailing arms? tires are definitely a factor... more worried about this really annoying clunk... I was thinking new motor mounts all around and better exhaust hangers with tires cause I have a bent rim with a buldged tire on it... ( replaced with newer to hit a famous Michigan pothole a few days later... ) im just stumped on how to re create the noise...

Check exhasut hangers...back by mufflers u have seen exhaust shift and the mufflers hit the oin the rubber bushing hangs on...grab exhaust tips and shake see if you hear anything.
