crazy car need some help

so im driving and everything seems fine you drive for like another 20 sec to 30 sec and the car revs but dosnt go no where like if tranny slipped No check engine light car dosnt turn off starts right up no problem but just wont move while in drive or rev then if you turn car off and let it chill for a while 20 to 30 min youll make it another minute of driving and same will just rev and slow down wont go no where

its a 2008 Grandprix 3.8

i know i can take it to dealer and warrnty should cover it cuz it still dont got the 36k but just wondering whats wrong any ideas anyone...???
