The GTP needs a new supercharger coupling, I know i can pull the supercharger off, remove the snout and replace it that way. Im wondering if there is a way i can remove the snout without having to pull off everything.
Im replacing the radiator this weekend so i figure while im at it i might as well do it.
 


yeah, pull the belts, remove the alternator, and presto, you've got full access to all the snout bolts.... Would take you not even 5 min to get the alternator off....
 
Thanks! i didnt want to deal with the injectors and the UIM gasket. Im getting this black boat straightened out :)
 


Ive had these engines down to the block before, id just rather take the easiest (and cheapest) route possible.
I plan to replace all the gaskets when i add an intercooler and rockers.
for now i just want to get it to the state of "reliable"
 
got ya. wear latex gloves, ( the oil stinks, it will stay with your for days) have brake cleaner handy. i laid some rags down on the top of the timing cover cause whats left in the snout will leak all over. then spray it all down with brake cleaner, and wipe clean.

Is there a snout gasket i need to buy?
 


Nice video! I am thinking about doing this as well, since I will have everything apart. I definitely need a new supercharger coupler. My supercharger makes a lot of noise and there is to much play on the pulley.
 
Is there an alternative to the GM supercharger oil? something i can pick up at the local autoparts store
