Those cruisers arent really made for acceleration.

There was a Road & Track article a couple years back IIRC, a shoot out between the MX5 Miata, Lancer Evo, and Porsche 911... the tick, getting away from the cops. Older Caprice squad car, new charger interceptor, and I think a camaro pursuit car.

The Miata did best in city, actually lost the cars because they couldnt handle the turns, and the 911 out ran the charger and caprice on the highway but couldnt shake the camaro.

I saw that. It was a miata and another car and the three police cars, charger, crown Vic, and impala. Miata definitely owned them.
