Cooling issue

Alright so the other day i took my car out drove it for about 10-15 minutes and the temp ran up from 180ish (normal) up to 220+ in a matter of seconds so i shut the car off and felt the hose that goes to the rad. and it had massive pressure in it and on top of that the coolant was boiling inside. i got it back home and after it sat for 24 hours + i started it and in a matter of minutes (maybe3-4) the hoses had massive pressure in them already. the rad. is not blocked all the rad. hoses are new, its not the thermostat.

I did a compression check and all cylinders read the same, and non of them leaked any pressure out. and the oil in the crank case it 100% oil.

Today i took off the lim and noticed that there was coolant underneath the lim, so would it be possible that the lim gasket was leaking a little and letting air in the system causing it coolant not to flow?...or maybe it is blocked somewhere?
