Coolant sensor



Yep be prepared to lose half a gallon of coolant while you're at it. Replaced three of the bastards before I got one that would work properly
 
other than removing the 2 bolts that hold it down? idk maybe some sort of teleporter or magic could work but since the teleporter has not be built yet thats not going to work. just remove the 2 bolts on the housing and pry it up in the center with a screw driver it will pop right on out.
 
Why would you remove the thermostat housing?

The temp sensor is UNDER it, screwed into the lower intake itself. Unplug the wire connector and get a wrench or socket on it and remove it.
 


It is a tight spot in there unfortunately. There is really no way around it. I used a crescent wrench and did it 1/4 turn at a time.
