coolant reservoir swap

hey guys im doing the 99+ coolant reservoir swap to my 98 gtp and its a really tight fit, idk if thats normal or not but i can barely get it in there and its hitting the alternator pulley and the bottom fork type mount on the bottom of the tank is getting in the way, has anyone had these problems doing the swap, is this normal? any input helps thanks!

I swapped on onto my 98 and it was a tight fit. The fork at the bottom can be tucked behind the wires that run along the strut tower. Mine did run along the pulley for a bit but eventually ground down enough to the point it doesn't rub or make noise anymore.

Okay good to know thanks man! And i couldnt find a way to mount the pcm flat and i juat had it sitting and wanted to mount it somehow and i read on here some people do the swap to get more room for the pcm tray, idk yet tho

s-10's have a pcm tray you can pick up off ebay or a junk yard, bolt it down in the same location, some zip tie or velcro em down, i see no need. it dont move.

check your passenger side motor mount, if it's collapsed the engine will lean that way a little and make the fit even worse
