coolan t elbow problem

part of coolant elbow end broke of in engine side will it hurt to leave in of 2005 grand prix 3.8 enginethere or can i remove water pump and get it out help me please

no need to remove the water pump. but the alt bracket needs to come off, the broken part needs to come out, and all the holes need to be cleaned out well.

A strong 270* pick will pull the broken piece out. Avoid scratching the bore. Were you able to get the o-ring out as well? Everything scottydoggs said is dead on right. Best of luck.
