Cone Air Filter for 02 Grand Prix SE

I have a 3100 02 Grand Prix SE, I want to get a cone air filter. Do I get the 3 inch or the 4 inch? I just remove the air filter box clamp the cone one down?
 


you want a little run of pipe between the filter and the maf. bolting the cone directly to the maf doesnt give a good reading in my experience. also dont really recommend it for the 3.1 gains are tiny, all you get is sound. Drop a K&N in the box and clean it up real good. im trying to find stock ducts as we speak to revert back to stock. I believe its a 3" to bolt on however if you want.
