Cold Air Intake Help!

no, ill skip the "make your own" and say this:

the box doesnt really keep the air any cooler than any good PVC or aluminum intake would. just get it close to the fender and call it a day.

Make your own
1. take your air box out the car
2. get a filter what ever knn is good
3. get a 3'' diameter 90 deg rubber bend connect to air filter
4. get a 3" diameter 60 deg pvc bend connect to 90 deg
5. get and 3'' diameter pipe find out the length u need and connect to 60 deg and to coupling
6. then get a coupling to put it on the intake
7. the air filter will go in your wheel well

should have gone with 4". seriously.

What did I say that one day about intake size...something about a choking a fat chick on cholesterol? LOL

The bigger the pipe the better these cars run. 3" is weak. Go 4"

This wont work on an '05 will it?

how much of a difference is there between the 3" and 4" I really want to do the 4" cause everyone says its better, but I don't want to have to cut stuff up and whatnot.

If you don't want to cut stuff up and want a nice intake check ours out. They are the cheapest most well designed intake out there. We just added the LQ4 models and the 04+ models to the site tonight.

I've actually looked at that a few times because everyone says it's the best one to buy if you buy one, but I'd rather make my own than spend alot of money on one. Just wondering but what size is your fwi? And I'm still interested in how much of a performance difference there will be b/t 3" and 4". Thanks.

No problem,

Our FWI is constructed out of 4'' manderal bent tube. And it all depends on where your at in a performance standpoint if your going to need a 4'' over a 3''. I would just go with a 4'' and not worry again about it.
