clunk on turn / straightening out

Hi Guys... couple things going on here... and one thing is leading me to another.

I have a pontiac grand prix gtp 2000. I hear a clunk that is felt through the floor board. Feels and sounds like coming from the front passenger side. Started happening suddenly one day. Appears to happen guranteed if turning left and right upon straightening out, it would clunk.. now it's kinda happening on turning right.

I've been reading the forums and lead me to believe it was a wheel bearing. I jacked the front end (both sides) and found the front passenger has a bit of wiggle (small, don't know how to measure / discribe but small) from the 9 to 3 o'clock. Reading some of the boards I saw this meant a tie rod. I then checked the other side, and noticed it could wiggle about the same amount from 12 to 6 o'clock... meaning this was a hub assembly issue?

I started with the thought that this issue should be from the hub assembly as I have the ABS / TCS issue with the lights coming on upon startup, and once in a while the lights don't come on - appears to work summers and cuts out in winters... but I digress... I looked underneath with the car in the air at all of the bushings that I could find. None of them appeared to be worn / cracked.

Any ideas w/ testing procedures would be highly appreciated. I'm hopeful to hear that I should just change the hub assembly which will fix my abs / tcs as well as stop the thunking, but not holding my breath :)

next step would be to stop at the mechanics office.. feels to me about the same as a dentist :(

Thanks guys for all your wisdom - if not on this post, I've learned tons through the site :)

Cheers!

Update:

Took it to the shop the other day - told the guy which he immediately looked at the driver side (I had been thinking it was passenger...) pointed and said - "well there's yer problem" the sway bar was snapped. ugh... lesson learned, always check both sides of the car!

So, didn't want to dink with putting in a new bar and had the work done 280 w/ new bushings and all done by the next day :)

so... if anyone hears the thunking - try turning the wheel to see into the well, and check that your control arms are still connected ;)
