Close Call Yesterday

So I was driving home yesterday from the campus and I was doing 55mph which was the speed limit. I saw this beater toyota come zipping up to a stop sign and so I let off the gas. (I had the right of way) He was just about at a stop so I was assuming he was going to stop. Needless to say, he started to pull across my lane as I was coming. I hit the brakes and swearved around behind him narrowly missing his back end. I was so surprised by what happened. My only reasonable guess is that he either didnt see me coming or was just that bad of a driver.

All in all Im glad I was able to manuver safely and that nobody got hurt and neither did my car.

I have that happen more often than I admit. Sucks how bad some people drive, I wonder sometimes how they get their license.

Either he didn't see you (in a rush not paying full attention).. Or he thought he could beat you.

whatever. every time something like this happens I'm like "well it must have been a woman"

and 9 out of 10 times it is

This is the 1 out of 10 times that it was a high school guy. lol. To be honest Im not too upset with him. I mean people make mistakes whether they are on purpose or accidental. I know that sometimes if you are not used to a certain car the piller might be an issue and block your vision. So I'm not exactly holding it against him. Plus I was able to manuever and keep from hitting him so its all good.

He probably thought you had a stop sign too I had a truck driver do that to me and I almost hit him.....needless to say I followed him to the job site and his supervisor got an ear full lol
