ok had a blower motor go out then a resistor now it blows hot air out drivers side and cold out passenger. i swapped the control module out tonight and same thing. i read somewhere to unhook battery for like 5 minutes then try it again. I had same outcome. i am hoping this is a easy fix its a 99 gtp with 220000 i am not wanting to put alot of money into it but it still runs great.

this is a auto setting module

I have an 02 "at least for a couple of more weeks :-)" that was blowing hot air. My symptom is if you turn it to hot, then quickly switch to cold, it would blow cold for just a second, them warm up. See if this helps.

In case it makes a difference mine is a 02 SE 3.1. It's been a while, I pulled the glove box out (maybe) some of the lower dash, but you can see the blend doors from the passenger side. It did not take long to get a good view of the blend doors. When you said control module, I was not sure if you was talking the whole piece temperature sliders and all, or since you were having blower motor issues you just switch the blower motor control. BTW, mine was the sliders, found one in a salvage for half the price of dealer and that gave some extra knobs.

I would check to see if the door actuators are "wandering"
Remove one or both actuators, not really that hard. while watching them, move the dual climate control levers from hot to cold slowly and see if the they respond positively to the movement of the control. if not i would say you have a bad control.

Once you remove the actuators if the don't rotate to full open and full close, you open one up to see if the plastic gears are sheared. I had one actuator that appeared to work fine and the other wandered, i then reversed the position, just in my hand and moved plugged into the other wiring connector. It moved fine on one side but not on the other, that's why I bought the new/used control.
