Clicking noise and dies

So the other day I was driving on the highway and ended up hittin 120 on the highway and my car just dies and wouldn't start back up I got towed to the shop the ended up getting it jump and runnin but when I was driving it it started to make a clicking noise and ended up dieing again and wouldn't start back up had towed back to the shop and ideas it a 04 Grand Prix non sc 3.8

Pull some plugs, check condition.

You mentioned having to jump it, was the battery dead? Could be an alternator that went away, or a belt or pulley shredded.
