My cig lighter went out when my girl plugged her hair dryer into a power converter.the accessory one in console still worked until next day when she plugged it in there. The aux power 25 amp fuse is not blown

Yeah I hear that the only fuse ,,that sounds like it could be it is the aux power one n its ok.plus with one going out n the othr still working they would have to be on separate fuses.add someone said it's the actual socket or themes an online fuse on em which I guess I will own up console and look at the Wiring

oh, the right way to run a power inverter thats gonna be under heavy loads like a hair dryer, its best to hard wire a new power port off the battery with a 25 amp inline fuse added.

how i ran mine in my work truck.

or she needs a larger inverter.

you have a fuse box under the hood too, check that one as well, id pull em all and look at them, it could be marked with some thing else.

now if the socket still works with say a phone charger? the wires may have over loaded and melted. time to pop the console out and look at em.

or the inverter took a crap? try it in another car yet?

Nah the sockets won't charge a phone.light on charger isn't lit up. Thanks scottydogs

Most hair dryers use 1875 watts. I don't know any inverter rated that high that plug in to CIG lighter?

Yeah she didn't announce it but you would still figure it would blow three fuse not the outlet or online fuse or fusable link
