• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

chirping noise

It's probably a belt tensioner, idler pulley, or the belt itself. Just pop the belt off and see if it still makes the noise. Or listen on that side of the engine for it.
I doubt the rod bearings are "chirping".

I've got out of the car while it was doing it and sprayed the belt good with brake cleaner to clean it off, it stopped the belt squeel but the chirping noise was still there. It's louder under the car near the oil pan leading me ro assume it was something with the rod bearings?

Mine chirped a little bit when the water pump started to go..wondered what the hell it was for the longest time, then one day it got real loud, leaked, and I knew...Just a thought for you, even though it sounds a little bit different

Yeah we just replaced water pump about 3 months ago. It was sounding bad and engine was getting really hot. I do hear the belt tensioner squeeling but I can hear that noise along with the other one.. ill be seafoaming the crankcase here soon as its about due for an oil change anyways.

I can hear it while driving. It didn't do it all day yesterday until after we installed new mufflers on his car and revved it up some, then that noise started back up.
