Chime when turn signals activated

OK guys, I have a doozy for ya!!!! I have a 1994 GTP, 3.4L engine. This morning while driving to work I turned the left turn signal on and the chime started inside the car (similar chime to when the door is opened with the key in the ignition). I didn't think too much of it until I got to the next intersection and turned right. The chime went off again. Now I was starting to get a bit concerned so I started doing some testing. Here are the results of the tests I could do on the way to work:

-Headlights on. Turn signals do not produce the chime when the turn signals activated.
-Hazard lights do not produce the chime at any time.
-Car stopped and idle. Turn signals do not produce the chime.

The chime only happens when either turn signal is on and the car is above idle AND moving. I even tried to shift the car into drive sitting still and raising the RPM's a bit and the chime would not happen. I got out of the car and checked the turn signal lights and I do have one out on the passenger side. It is the small light on the side of the car. I have had turn signal lights out before and never had a chime come on.

I am at a total loss on this one. Makes no sense to me at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you leave the blinker on and drive more than 1/4 mile or so the chime is a reminder your blinker is on.
Or is it chiming right away?

It is chiming right away and only when I am moving and above idle and, even then, only when the headlights are off.

Try cleaning both the battery terminals and the cable ends, then make sure they go back on tight.

Other than that, I've had the headlight switch in my 95 Bonneville go bad and cause all kinds of weird things. Not sure if the switch is the same on the 94 GP's. I know the 94-95 Bonneville's were known for that, and in 96 they changed the design.

Thanks for the input. The problem seems to have gone away on its own. I have noticed over the last few months that my headlight switch is getting a little flaky. Just so happens I picked one up in the junkyard a few months back. I will be changing it this weekend to eliminate that as a potential cause.
