Hey all, just wanted to get some opinons real quick
I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix with 66,000 miles on her, never had any problems since i bought her brand new, so today the weather was very cold here in indiana, we had to goto indianapolis from fort wayne, and on the way home the check engine light popped on. Just solid orange i freaked being so far from home (2hrs) checked owners manual said something about gas cap not being on good enough. well ironically i have been having problems with it screwing on solidly like it used to so im hoping its as simple as it possibly being that, any two cents on any other possiblities? i was going to buy a new one from auto zone since we made it home no prob. thanks for listening

Well if you can post up what the code was that might help some. Typically, for the gas cap you'll see something about the EVAP system, probably code P0441 I believe.

Havent gotten a code dont know how to get one other than going to dealership and paying 75 bucks for them to hook it up to computer was hoping it wouldnt come to that cause my financial situation is not good right now

autozone and advance do it for free. you just have to ask at the counter for them to scan it or you to use the scanner.
