Cheap Lights for garage/ under hood

So We have this two bay Non attached garage, it has power, but none of the lights work (wiring to them is screwed)
I want to get something to give my light to work on the car. I don't care if its on the ceiling floor mount clips etc.
Trying to keep it cheap ~20

Im thinking of two harbor freight halogen lamps.

Jake had suggested strip LED's.. I did them in my shed and it's great.

About $10 for a strip..another $10 for a power supply

how much light do they put out? comparable to a ceiling fluorescent?
Trying to find something for this weekend.
 
Any link to those led lights ? I would like to replace the fluorescent lights in the laundry room and workshop as well as the garage
 


I've seen Led shop lights at Walmart for like 25 bucks. Might have been the 48 inch tube type bulb.
