changing oil pan gasket

I think it is my pan gasket as the car leaves a little puddle of oil on the ground after a while..If it was the valve cover gaskets it should burn off correct? I haven't noticed it till I changed the LIM. Just curious if you can change the pan gasket with the engine still in the car?

And if it does end up being the oil pan gasket, you can change it in the car, but you're going to have to lower the subframe some to get clearance.

Well I changed the valve cover gaskets and it appears to still be leaking...Next oil change it'll probably come off...What do you mean lower the sub frame?

I mean you can't just take the bolts off and take the pan off, there's not enough room. You need to support the engine from above and lower the engine cradle/subframe to get clearance to get it off.

Do I understand that it IS possible to get the oil pan out without taking the engine out of the car. I'm trying to and I am stuck with the support brace that's bolted to the oil pan and covers one of the bolts on the oil pan. It at the front of the pan running up beside the frame and the rubber engine mount. Any suggestions?
